Real Support from Real People

At My Black Dog, we provide free, anonymous and judgement-free peer support for those struggling with their mental health. Our volunteers have been there, they’ve faced their own challenges and truly understand what it’s like. Through real conversations, we offer empathy, hope, and a safe space to be heard.

No stigma, no pressure, just people who get it, ready to listen.

Our story

My Black Dog is a product of experience, each person involved with the charity has had their own experience with mental health

Mental health is the next pandemic.

We live in a disrupted world where we are faced with constant challenges to our living, our peace and our wellbeing, mental health has reached an all time high and yet we are still faced with long waiting times for treatment and care. My Black Dog is a vital bridge in the gap for people who need support quickly, we provide much needed human understanding and support for people who are struggling with their mental health. Our community of volunteers are here to listen, provide space and create meaningful connections to others so that you do not feel alone, you are not alone.
